Luxury Goose Down Surround Pillow

Feather at the core for just the right level of medium support and an outer layer offering the unmatchable softness of goose down: these Luxury Goose Down Surround Pillows are the pillow of choice for a number of the five-star hotels we sell to across the UK. Naturally we can’t reveal just who they are, but if you think of some of the most luxurious establishments you can probably guess!

By making these pillows ourselves by hand in the UK, Out of Eden retains total control over their quality. We choose only Downafresh certified white European goose down and white European goose feather to provide a premium blend of supreme softness and wonderful warmth without heaviness. We also use hypo-allergenic Nomite accredited 383 thread count cotton cases – the tight weave of the soft and breathable fabric acting as a barrier that allows people with dust allergies to enjoy the comfort of natural fill pillows.

The 300 thread count cotton case comes with double-stitched piped edges for a clean, sophisticated finish and that added note of luxury.

Day-to-day use:

Always use a protector to minimise the need for laundering
Do not use deodorising sprays or any other treatments
Air regularly to ensure any moisture is released and the fillings can re-loft
Washing:

Wash in a machine with at least 50% empty space when loaded dry so the item and its filling can move fully; pillows will need to be washed one at a time in most machines
Wash at 40°C or lower on a gentle or delicate cycle and avoid rapid or ready-to-wear cycles
Use only gentle detergents and avoid bleaching agents and fabric conditioners
Use a high-speed spin cycle to remove as much water as possible after washing
Take care when removing the item from the machine as it can get caught and tear when wet
Never leave bedding products wet or damp as the fillings may start to degrade
Drying:

Tumble dry at a low temperature on a long cycle, in a machine with at least 60% empty space so the item and its filling can move fully and re-loft; pillows will need to be dried one at a time in most machines
Remove from the drier immediately when the cycle finishes and air for 24 hours to ensure the core is fully dry
Always tumble dry pillows to ensure that the fillings are fully dried and re-lofted; air drying alone is not sufficient
Dry cleaning:

We advise against dry cleaning all duvets and pillows because the chemicals used in dry cleaning can damage fillings
Also the drying stage is critical to laundering bedding but is often not carried out properly during the dry-cleaning process
