Luxury Goose Down Duvet - 13.5 Tog

The 13.5 tog Luxury Goose Down Duvet has been crafted with an 85% natural European goose down and 15% feather fill which makes it remarkably lightweight yet also warm. It is ideal for cool winter nights when your guests require a sophisticated warmth that is also comfortable. 

The hypo-allergenic outer case of the duvet is made from Nomite certified 233 thread count pure cotton. It is a tightly woven fabric that acts as a barrier to dust mites. The stylish double-stitched piped edging of the duvet makes changeovers easier and is both practical and enduring.

There's no need to worry about cold spots in this luxury duvet thanks to a baffle box construction which evenly distributes the fill and also provides an attractive drape.

Handmade in the UK using only Downafresh certified white European goose down (85%) and white European goose feather (15%) to comply with the strictest quality, hygiene and animal welfare standards, Out of Eden retains total control over the quality of each luxury Goose Down duvet and so can ensure that each duvet is supremely soft and wonderfully warm, without heaviness.

Day-to-day use:
Always use a protector to minimise the need for laundering.
Do not use deodorising sprays or any other treatments.
Air regularly to ensure any moisture is released and the fillings can re-loft.
Natural-fill products may have a slight odour when new so air for 48 hours before using.
Washing:
Wash in a machine with at least 50% empty space when loaded dry so the item and its filling can move fully; duvets need to be washed in an industrial-sized machine.
Wash at 40°C or lower a gentle or delicate cycle and avoid rapid or ready-to-wear cycles.
Use only gentle detergents and avoid bleaching agents and fabric conditioners.
Use a high-speed spin cycle to remove as much water as possible after washing.
Take care when removing the item from the machine as it can get caught and tear when wet.
Never leave bedding products wet or damp as the fillings may start to degrade.
Tumble dry at a low temperature on a long cycle, in a machine with at least 60% empty space so the item and its filling can move fully and re-loft; duvets need to be dried in an industrial-sized machine.
Remove from the drier immediately when the cycle finishes and air for 24 hours to ensure that it is fully dry.
Always tumble dry duvets to ensure that the fillings are fully dried and re-lofted; air drying alone is not sufficient.
Dry cleaning:
We advise against dry cleaning all duvets and pillows because the chemicals used in dry cleaning can damage fillings.
Also the drying stage is critical to laundering bedding but is often not carried out properly during the dry-cleaning process.
