The Out of Eden story began back in 1993 when it was founded by Ian and Janet Hartley with the ambition to provide accommodation providers with an extensive and innovative range of products to help operate their business – in short, everything they needed for great hospitality!
With a wealth of experience from running hospitality businesses of their own, they knew many of the challenges faced every day by people managing hotels, running B&Bs and guest houses, or operating holiday lettings and self-catering cottages.
Out of Eden is still a family-owned enterprise and managed by a leadership team with extensive experience across hospitality, retail, logistics and supply chain businesses. We are still located in the beautiful market town of Kirkby Stephen in Cumbria’s Eden Valley, between the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales, from where we have grown sustainably into a leading independent supplier to the hospitality industry.

Our national courier partners will ensure your order is delivered right to your door with carriage completely FREE for all orders over £49.00 ex VAT. Delivery for most of the UK is typically within 2-3 working days.
Our customers told us that some pack sizes were too large, especially if storage space is limited. We asked our suppliers to create smaller packs, and many of them kindly obliged. And where smaller packs didn’t exist, we created our own solutions so you can buy exactly the quantity you need.

There are certain products that you simply must try before you buy. We’re delighted to offer a selection of bedding and table linen fabric swatches, samples of toiletries, liquid soap, snacks and beverages, available upon request and free of charge.
If you’re not 100% happy with your products, please tell us. Simply contact us within 30 days of purchase and, if you’d like to return the items in question, we’ll organise a postage paid label, or a courier to collect the products and we'll refund the product price.
